Overestimating one抯 abilities

It is said that people have to mind their health since their early age. Students often ignore this universal truth and do not guard their health. Due to their youth and lack of experience, they are assured in their unlimited abilities. Fortunately, most of them do not have problems with heart or blood pressure. Still, overwork during one抯 student years might be consequential. Serious diseases of middle aged people might be caused by enormous overload during their student years. The problem is that only excellent health allows juggling one抯 work with studies.

Time-management skills are said to be beneficial for combining one抯 work with studies. Still, a day and a night contain only twenty-four hours, which often appear to be insufficient for combining a part-time job with studies. Deciding to combine their work with studies, students need to be ready for a constant lack of time. Enormous physical load coupled with lack of sleep might result in a nervous breakdown and other serious diseases.

Precautionary measures for preventing one抯 overwork

Before looking for a part-time job, a student should evaluate one抯 state of health critically. It is possible even to consult a doctor before making this consequential decision. A student should undergo medical tests in order to be assured in one抯 health.

The next point is the choice of a part-time job. Various occupations presuppose various levels of physical load. For example, if a student is deprived of opportunity to become a waiter due to one抯 poor health, he/she might become a tutor or a freelance translator. Weighing all pros and cons of combining one抯 work with studies, a student should consider

1.the state of one抯 health;

2.one抯 time-management skills;

3.the level of one抯 self-motivation.

Still, if a person feels bad due to the necessity to combine one抯 work with studies, it is preferable to concentrate one抯 energy on studies.
